Hello everyone,

After a great success last year with more than 200 cars attending, the Christmas cruise is on again this year.

This years cruise begins at Gordano motorway services (M5 junction 19, postcode BS20 7XG) on Sunday 13th December, leaving at 2pm - so please ensure you arrive at Gordano services well before 2pm :)

Food and hot drinks will only be available at Gordano services themselves at the start of the cruise.

The route this year is as follows...

Full pictures of (almost) every junction, with directions are available here - if possible please print the directions to ensure you know where you are going...

Christmas cruise 2009 stickers will be available on the day, and will be being sold for a minimum donation of £1, to be split equally between Brads Cancer Foundation (http://www.brads.org.uk/) and Props (Providing Opportunities and Support for those with special needs) (http://www.propsforward.co.uk/).
Last year we raised £350 to be split between the charities.

As usual, the cruise will end up at the Golden Heart pub, Winterbourne (postcode BS36 1AU). This is just off the Bristol ring road, with easy access to the M4 and M5.
Some hot food will be available at the pub - details will be posted nearer the time.
This year we have secured extra parking at the pub as it was a little busy outside last year :)
Parking at the pub is in an adjacent field this year, and the land owner has suggested a donation of £1 per car be made towards Lung cancer research. This will be collected upon entry to the parking field.

Last year lots of cars were decorated for the event with lights, tinsel etc which was brilliant and really made people stop and stare even more - So this year, the more tinsel, fairy lights and other Christmassy tat the better!

There will be chocolate PRIZES! For the best decorated vehicle and the furthest travelled!

All old VWs are welcome - that includes T25s, new beetles, mk1/2 golfs etc. I'm not gonna say someone can't come...

If you have any problems (break-downs etc) on the day or during the cruise, you can ring me on O7528 572763.

More details to follow ASAP... so for now, here are some pictures of the last few years...

The winner of the best decorated car last year... (for the sheer lunacy of wrapping an entire Beetle in Christmas paper! )
