Sounds like someone has screwed up somewhere along the line, how can you turn away people that have bought tickets in advance, surely that means they have been greedy and sold too many on the gate :?:

Not that I planned to go anyway, its not called chavfest for no reason

Had I been going it would have been tonight so lucky escape for me. DATC tomorrow!

The camping pre booking system at Vanfest doesn't look so daft now!

I expect there'll be some unreasonable complaining over on VZi about this!

there were some very big tents/marquees and camping plots this year, also there wasnt camping everywhere like in previous years, ive been stranded trying to run what i brung before now as folk camped on the internal tracks around the camping areas, they must have tightened up on this as i imagine its a big h&s/fire safety no no.

seems everyone arrived early friday morning as the my mates were queued back to the village, ichester? i think.luckily we came in the other way! was a top weekend though!

Ive yet to hear anyones first hand experience that says that 'actually' were turned away?

I was driving back from Leics to London on the Sunday and took a detour to this. No problem with day ticket, they opened a field nearby to park and then ran a minibus shuttle to the gate. As I was walking back to gate at end of day, saw someone had brought and left a couple of sofas, armchairs and a piano, smashed to bits, takes 'glamping' to new heights!

On my way out I noticed a pile pile of rubbish with a pretty decent Arcam amp and Mission speakers thrown ontop... I couldnt leave these for the skip lorry! :D

as we were leaving someone carted the sofas away,so they didnt go to waste, the piano was mashed though!

got myself a decent sized tent as the campers next to us just left it. happy days.

was amazing seeing what everyone left.
