Hi ,i have had a problem with my bus, the generator light was on ,and i ignored it and in the end the bus died due to the battery been drained because the regulator was fried !so i fitted a new regulator put my booster pack on and the bus started for a while then died again so thought "flat boosterpack" so charged the battery ,fitted it .tried to start it and now its turning over but wont fire. Its trying to fire almost like when a car is flooded.I have fitted a new fuel filter and there is fuel there and voltage to the coil and a spark at the points when i open em.My dynamo is a 38 amp and old regulator was a 30 aqmp ,also the one i fitted is a 30 amp (i will buy the correct one on monday as the shops are closed now to get one )anybody got any advice ? what to check? cheers lee

you may have damaged your coil and or the condensor when your regulator went down, potential for high voltage output. though it may spark at the points, or even at the plug when out the head. the spark will not have any energy so simpy extinguish under compression. you may get the odd fire as it catches arbitarily. so if it were me i'd change/try another coil/condensor to rule them at least.
