Can anyone advise about the following?

I have been trying to fit the lock and the inside lock release onto my new doors - looks as in picture.

The locking mech is from my old doors and trying to put it onto my new ones, but the bar that joins them appears now to be too short!!!! does anyone no if there are slight difference on the lock positions?

My old doors didn't have a pop up button push but my new ones do, evrything else looks ok but they don't seen to be correct.

Thanks in advance

Simon

i could be wrong, but is it possible that door is 68 only due to button lock being up on the window sill? if it is maybe they differ in other ways too.im sure someone will correct me if im talking bollocks! just a thought.

I had the same thing.....

You need to fill the hole for the lock pull.... you won't be using it.

The door pull is in a different place and need drilling. That's why the rod is coming up short.

Hi

Thanks for you reply, so I assume I can use my old lock but the lock pull lever the one that goes thought the door card to open from the inside I need to drill the fixing holes to match the distance on the old one and then it will work???? or can I get a longer rod?

does this sound as if I'm on the right track?

I just had to redrill the holes for the handle/lock pull. just measure where they go off your old or other door. Everything else was fine.

I spent about an hour looking at it and wondering what was wrong before the one year only door differences dawned on me!

The doors have now been drilled and lock puller now bolted in and all is fine and Dandy......!!!

BUT, I now have another issue with the door sliding channel which inside the door at the back end. my new doors don't have a U bracket type thing to bolt it to the door and it clips in the top.

Is there another type of runner that I need to make it work?

This a pic of what the top of my old runner looks like.

My old doors had this U shaped bracket type thin but the new paint door don't have it so I'm stumped!!!!
