I'm refitting a fridge unit in a Westi and it seems like there is something missing to support the flip over lid,
Is there something missing or is it meant to support itself?

I know later ones have a triangular support that folds out but my 71 is the same as yours and the flip out table just rests against the buddy seat.

it almost seems like its too big as its pushing into the cushion, but the units can only go in one place
Its just a bit floppy, didn't know if there was meant to be some kind of rubber buffer between the hinges and the unit

Cool, can I ask on you r&r bed are there any additional supports underneath. I've seen them on other westies but mine is basically just the hinges and I'm wondering if it's missing the triangular supports

68 - 70 had the triangular support. Then they just had a rubber bung. It never seems great but it does work. 72 brought the cooker fold down unit but the sink top folded outwards and the triangle returned.

Bobster-I think the bed just has the hinges but will check on Monday
Clem- so it seems I'm missing the triangular support then, you wouldn't have a picture so I know what I'm looking for would you?
I think I've seen on with a rubber bung, does the bung go on the side of the buddy seat? This might be an option if I can't find a support

Mine has a rubber thing like a door stop fitted inside the buddy seat cover on the backrest, seems like it was an original fitting. I have added a triangular brace to the side of the sink unit now.
