Campsites in newquay!!!

I`m after a campsite near newquay for RTTS weekend as they`re is a few of us coming down for my stag weekend thingamajig!!!

I`ve been told about trencreek but can`t seem to get hold of them! Does anybody know of any others within like 20mins walking distance for a group??

Doesn`t have to be special as long as its got toilets and hookup!! and obviously fairl priced!?!

My sister stayed at Porth last summer, which is just down the road from Newquay... It's right on the beach, and also 'The Mermaid' which is the pub where the local VW club meets every tuesday...

There is also a 'Run From The Scum' alternative camping weekend just up the coast if you're after something a bit quieter...

I`ve just had a scout about and have realised how much more they want pppn for that weekend!!

I went to rtts last may and was severely dissapointed(suppose the weather didnt help) so thought this time round we`d do something different!!

We need somewhere that`ll be a cheap(ish) taxi ride into town that will accomodate 16 or so adults for the cheapest possible price!! o and leccy hook up :lol:
Although i have never booked a campsite before so havèn`t got a clue what to do really :lol:

Last year we stopped in Mawgan Porth nice clean site and cheap, bogs and hook up but 20 mins taxi from Newquay.... Magic cove touring park...

Trencreek rules! a great site. reccomend it for sure!

Porth is super nice but is now a bit caravan orientated and gets really packed so have moved away from there to Trencreek.

I always seem to miss the Mermaid meets when I am down there, but will sort it out and get to one or 3 8)

Run From The Scum is an Old Volks Club event and gets us away from the screaming chavs at RTTS :wink: nothing planned just cider and surf, now thats what its all about 8)

rose clinton or is it it rose clifton,cant remember but stayed ther a few times,has a permanant taxi service on at £1 a person in to the centre,

Right then! Been a bit of a nightmare this afternoon trying to sort it all out but finally its nearly all come together!!

Only had 1 call back and that was from trevornick campsite who were more than happy to cater for us all so all i gotta do now is ring around the lads and lasses that are making the voyage to the surf, sun, and sand!!

There is only ONE SITE

As Strongy Says Rose Cliston Park just outside Newquay bout 1.5 miles
Its ONLY £20 YES THATS RIGHT 20 quid 4 RTTS weekend and the site is a an 18 to 30 site ( thats You Buggered Slammed Kustom :shock: )

The site is family owned and you must pre book but can pay when you get there . The owners DONT let Nova boys on OR ********* and its £40 quid with 20 retuned to you as you leave as a bit of a behavior bond

Now i was there 3 yrs ago and I was playing Jimi Hendrix at full blast on my stereo in the Gadget Bus at 3 am and the owner came over and asked me to '' Turn it down a bit NOT alot as he wanted to Hear it TOO just a bit ''

And he stayed and had a couple of southern comforts with us cant say fairer than that

And as Strongy says the minibuses run all nite from 7pm till 5 am and its only a quid to get into town and get back NO matter what time

Gets My Vote guys and the only site Id stay on in Newquay :wink:

We always stay in either Porth Beach (restrictive but chilled) or watergate bay site, which a few miles out but a great site with a 10 minute walk to the pheonix
