The interior panels are almost complete, the RnR bed is finished, the first fit of the leisure electrics are in, some of the front mats, the seat belts etc...
Yesterday I laid the Madmatz tiles - which has set it all off nicely...
put some sound proofing down on the bed-deck...
and I couldnt resist adding some of the finishing touches...
the whitewalls are now on the powder coated wheels - shown here with the beauty rings and new hub caps - should be on the van this week...
Hopefully the electrics will be completed this week and we can get him started up ready for the MOT.
Thanks fellas. Yes, it looks really good. The pictures dont really do it justice, its turned out even better than expected.
Hopefully we will get a few decent late 'summer' days and weekends out of it before we have put hide it away from the grit monsters!
Cheers.
To be honest the tiles went down quite well. They are not perfectly square cut so there are a few minor gaps here and there, but the overall results is really good. I would use them again for sure. I imagine it could be a bit tricky if the floor/boards are not flat though.
Some more pics taken this evening.......we have power!
Most of the leisure and ICE electrics are in, the spot lights, the electric washer switch, all the wiring is in place for the final push on the interior.
Need to make a decsion on the front number plate - im favouring on the bumper......what do people think?
(Yes, I know the bumper isnt straight! Its not tightened up yet)
So, Cyril is finally finished! There's a few bits of snagging to sort out, but the MOT is passed, its off SORN and back on the road!
Im so pleased with how its turned out - even better than I ever imagined.
A massive thanks to Ron at VW Endanagered Species who has done a cracking job - cant recommend him enough and to everyone else who has helped me through this and have contributed in their own way in the past 11 months.
