Hi All , I have a 1969 Early Bay it Requires a gearbox as the one fitted is whinning in 3rd an 4th i have been offered a Beetle 1303 box will this fit my Van ?? The van has a 1600 engine fitted . The gearbox code is "AT 11 10 3 " Thanks John

you can but you will need a kit to fit it as it's shorter and unless you are lowered the van the drive shafts will give you problems as yours will be 14mm too short. I think from memory no one is importing the kits here at the moment.
you may be better off trying one of the importers for a second hand one

Oh right !!! So which would be the best box to get hold of ??or is it possible to get mine re-built if so whats the cost's of this ?? thanks John

you can get it here...

its $400 + p & p

i've already ordered one, its going in a container i have leaving in the next two weeks, so i don't know what delivery cost to UK sorry. You have the the correct AT code box.

never fitted a kit to my van (1971, is there a difference?) just modified front mount slightly, bus not lowered been running it for 5 years been all over uk and europe with no problems. if someone lends me a kit i can start making them cheaper for eb and can be powdercoated a colour of your choice!!
