Carb/Airfilter

Anyone able to help with this please?

Having problems getting the engine to run nicely. i was setting the carb up and realised there is a hole in the front which is sucking in air. so i blocked it but now i can't get it to idle (it does but only just) just been looking at pictures of others and i see a pipe going from that hole to the air filter. trouble is my airfilter has no where to connect it!

Any ideas suggestions

It's a pict 34 but not Solex (repo)

should still run ok with that blocked dude, you should block it if you have nowhere to connect it

you'll probably need to readjust now you've capped that big air leak
