Anyone had a disc ceased on?

Changed them on the Ford Mondeo today, the first side took about 30 mins including putting wheel back on etc.. The passenger side took 2 hours!!!!!! :x Had to grind the disc off as it was so welded onto the hub - I was hammering it but ran out of bigger hammers!

yup  Sucks dont it. Last one i had was on a beemer and a gentle warm and a clout free'd it. the worst ive seen was a rusted on wheel on the college principles Jag  The tutor told me i should go for a *** break cos my last suggestion was linked to an angle grinder  .

The worst i'be done are on a 53 reg Transit, they were so seized on i had to take the whole hub assembly off so i could sit it on the anvil and bash f*ck out of it with a 20 pound sledge hammer.

Well, this was my next thought, but didn't want the hassle of taking it all apart - So had to get the grinder out.. I think some of the heat built up from the friction of the grinder transferred into the disc and helped free it up - out of all the things that could cease up I didn't think discs could as they have such a large surface area and are constantly moving - small screws and bolts sure.. :x
