Chilly trip out today

Decided to defy the weather and went on a trip out today- Hadrian's Wall for daugter's homework.

Looks cold doesn't it?

But the van did attract some admirers!

Anybody else been out and about?

That looks very familiar Rosko. I used to live in Bardon Mill ( I worked at the pottery ). I can vouch for how cold it gets up there :!:

Good spot! It's just up from Bardon Mill on the entrance road to Vindolanda, we live in Haydon Bridge so it wasn't that big an outing really...

I know exactly where it is now. It's just near the entrance of the lane to Vindolanda where the tourist buses park. Haven't been up there for ages. I had a 76 lhd German kombi when I lived up there (1990 to 1994). It was awful in the winter. Impossible to see out of the windows without your breath freezing up the small clear patches.

Very true, when it is cold it is very very cold, specially on the hills. Mind you, when it gets too cold for the Scandanavian bikers there are loads of empty roads with great views and lots of sheep to cuddle for warmth...
