Back from 2 weeks in Cornwall...
Can highly recomend Churchtown Farm campsite at Gwithian...had a week there and then moved up to Padstow Touring Park...wish we'd spent both weeks at Gwithian, so probably will next year!
Only a couple of lates and one early that came just as we were going...but quite a few heading down as we were heading home on Saturday

Cool. My bus is a bit different now, it's been converted from a pop top to a westy roof now in case anyone look at older photos of us. 8)

Well in true "1st time out" we have found a few of the foibles of owning a 40 year old van.

The one that was causing the immediate concern was the front end/steering. The RED9 kit did not quite feel as it did 700 miles ago when new & the alarmingly high amount of tyre wear on the inner edge was the tell tale sign everything was not quite right.

In desperation we tried the usual suspects of tyre centres who had basically not got a clue, the majority could/would not look at it & those who said they could did not know how to adjust camber (even when i offered to show them how the concentric nuts work). Nope needed a specialist or an old one man band somewhere with camber gauges.

Anyway, to cut a long story short, I found Nigel Allen VW Here who managed to squeeze me in (after recovering his gauges from a friend who had borrowed them) & rectified the problem pretty quickly. it seems that the tyre centre who initially setup the tracking has screwed it up & either set the camber so far out it had caused the problems or not tightened up the nuts correctly allowing things to change over time.

Anyway, all sorted now & a strong recommendation if you ever need help, he is virtually at the end of Newquay Airport runway.

Thanks Nigel :D
