Crank Case Bolts Not Tightening

Just tried be tightening the bolts that hold the fuel pump to the crank case and one of the bolts will not tighten and just keeps moving round. Are these meant to be fixed solid into the crank case, if so, has mine snapped?
Just wondering if there is a way of screwing it back into the case without screwing up the thread.

If it keeps turning it's stripped the block which will now need helicoiling.

You might get lucky, try removing the stud, cleaning the threads and then refitting with some threadlock ... worth a try.
