Hay folks. in a few weeks ill be collecting my 69 crewcab!! it needs work and im now skint but i will be lowering it at some point. trouble is, ive been reading up on various forums and ive read a couple of crewcab owners cant carry any load in the backs of thier vans becasue thier drives shafts rub apparentley. anybody had any experiance of this?? i intend to use the bus for work aswell. ill never be carrying full payload but it would be nice to know i could if needs be. i dont want it super slammed just so the front wheels sit a couple of inches form the arches.

not quite my cup of tea. cheers anyway. might be worth looking at. i might just see how it looks and have a play. ill probabley use adjusters at first and then dropped spindles when i can afford them. anybod know if its common on the crewys?

PM smudge he slammed his but should be able to advise you....

As far as I'm aware theres no further problems in lowering the rear as any other earlybay, so maybes adjustable spring plates / horse shoes or turning the torsion bars a notch as your only after a mild lowering, dropped spindles should give you all your after on the front ....
