Hey all,

Whilst cleaning up my 1600 SP cylinder heads today I extracted the 1mm steel shims and threw them away (Stupid).
I went on line to order some more and discovered there seems to be a world shortage so i looked into going down
the copper shim route. The 1.25mm set were cheaper then the 1mm set so my question is, will it make that much
difference to the running and efficiency of the engine if I use these. I understand the compression ratio will drop
slightly.

Cheers for your thoughts on this peeps.

Thanks Geeze - I would agree but I'm not taking the barrels off - Just another thing to do, so I left them
on the block. :)

You right Dubz,

I've been a complete twat and ordered copper shims with a 94mm bore i.e The cylinder bore and not the cylinder head socket bore.

Knobber !!!!!!!!!!!! :wanker:

85.5mm shim kit re-ordered !!!!

Cheers
