Dashboard question?

Hi all, ive noticed some vans have a padded dash and some have a metal dash, anyone know why? is it an american safety option or something, just curios.

All US vans have padded dashes, H&S requirement.... :roll:

I wouldn't change mine as it's a US van and part of it, but you can't beat a colour coded metal dash IMO, very smart.

WSS^^^^ I'd ave kept mine padded if the PO hadnt butchered it, but it stripped back real nice and has a neat little twist to it.....
