hi i want to drive at 60 65 mph for around 2 hours with out the engine getting to hot is a deep/wide sump going to help
its a standard 1600 twin port if not any ideas :?: :D
temp at the mo is 240f

just seen the bugpack oil cooler kit could this be better? vw heratage
but thats the £££ option

Where is your temp sender? Mine hits 240 too but I don't think it's overheating.

im not sure. its not a dipstick one .mine went up to 260 once and was fine.i just want it so stay a bit cooler around 220 ideal

mines about 220 to 230 f, can run for hours down to south of france like that. Just make sure its all set up right, a rolling road tune up would do you more good, running weak or incorrect timing can cause overheating as well.

I think I am going to change my deep sump to a wide slimline one. My van is pretty low & am worried about hitting stuff.

Mine will be up for grabs once I have the new one.
