Hi, has anybody put their engine back in with the dellotos fitted. I have mine out and measured things up and it looks very close not to sure weather they will go, do not want to do any damage to them. Thanks

not sure if it's too late but watch the brass balance valves (?) on the sides, I bust one when putting mine in. worth taking off just in case

I did this yesterday with my engine that has twin Weber 40's. I had it on a trolley jack slid it in side ways and just spun the engine around 90 degrees on the jack lifting cup within the engine bay ;) Got it out the same way too.

Removing and fitting twin carbs when the engine is in place pisses me off, so i thought that WILL come out and go in like that :D

Thanks for the replies. I will try the spin method, and take out the brass bits. I always fit the carbs afterwards, its not to bad to do once you have done it 7 or 8 times, apart from the back and knees, just the back manifold nut is hard to get to.

Good luck with that dude :) i recommend have a mate help steady the engine though because although their a small engine it will be hard to bench press it off yourself while under the back of your van
