Hi all,
im wanting to get some deluxe trim, and did a search on here on previous topics,.....the thing is im more confused about them now  ......which are the best ones to go for?, c&c or just kampers, and do you think its worth the extra for stainless, i seem to remember talk of a group buy, did that ever happen? how soon do the normal ones go dull? and i remember somebody sticking theirs on with panel fix tape stuff is it still fixed on (i like the idea of not drilling holes)

sorry for all the questions......................kev :)

I went for C&C and it is very good. Needed a tiny bit of customising, but overall a great fit. It will never be as good as original, but I didn't have the time or patience (or money) to go for original.

The main bit is the corners which are not as flush as original, but from a pace or two it is fine. I would recomend going for original metal clips though, as I found the plastic ones broke easily. I got a load from FBI VW.

Went for C&C also. As said^^^ the rear corners dont fit!!! Infact they are utter crap and just worth slinging in the bin.
I fitted the C&C trim then soursed 1 genuine rear corner (still got 1 to get) and polished it up and stuck it on, perfect
If you go stainless and the rear corners dont fit the OG ones wont do as theyre ally and wont match up.
C&C is the way to go IMO.

I bought original for £120ish from the states with all clips and screws. It fits perfectly but to fully polish takes real comitment.

Cheers for the tips guys,..........how bad are the c&c corners?, any pictures so i can see the fit?....on the website it says they are aware some parts need reshaping, how can you bend them without putting a kink in them?.....for £260 i would like them to fit really

i would also like to see a few pics of the c&c stuff fitted, keep hearing its awfull and have been holding of getting some.started polishing my stuff up and got proper fedup with it so left it as it is

i fitted mine with refix tape about 3 years ago(mabee longer) and its still fine.not sure ill fitting corners would stay on with tape tho.

The corners up close have a mm or so off the body, but its really not that bad. I'll post some photos when I get my bus back next week

So......anyone got polishing tips for me as its taking forever!!

I started polishing a piece of mine not long ago Paul I'm afraid it requires lots of elbow grease  :( I started by 2000 wet and drying it, then got the dremel out and polished it up .....3 hours later and ONE yes ONE piece was done
