Hello All

My 69 SC seems to have dim headlights even though it just had a fresh MOT so I'm wondering what is the probable cause for this?
Any help greatly appreciated. :D

Hi!

Or put some H4's in and use the original wiring to fire them via relays, some details here, and also talk of the legality of HIDS for MOT as they need to be self levelling, more on this if you Google i, but here is the link.

Golf MK2 lights fit with a little fettling.

Cheers!

hi,

have you taken the lights out and given them a good clean, (dont use metal polish on the reflector bowls as this will remove the chrome) if your bulbs are not halogens, try halogen conversion bulbs. halogen conversion bulbs are cheaper from auto bulb suppliers than JK, Heritage etc. H4's may not go straight in a 1969 bus (unless us spec).

you could also try relays this way http://www.paultaylorimaging.com/VW/Headlight_Wiring_Upgrade/Headlight_Wiring_Upgrade_1.html

high intensity discharge lamps (also known as arc lamps). very bright, lots of legal issues with retro fits though
