I've got a long neck mirror on my bus, which was produced on 12th Feb 1969 and registered on 13th May 1969.
Doesn't fix in with two screws, but turn and clips in with a spring and is covered in white pvc.
This is why I'm after the early sun visors without the mirror cutout.

is there a bulkhead between engine and fuel tank ?
got told that was a 68 only ?

sorry should of said ' no firewall, 68'.
but after reading some reply's looks like thats wrong as well :?
looking at ballbags pics noticed dash warning lights have no symbols
on and the speedo counter is below the needle.....is that one year only?

My early 69 has a long stemmed mirror that fixes with 2 screws, it's all very confusing

Every year only part got phased in and out over time, especially if you had an early or late in year production model.

Some sage advice once posted on SSVC was along the lines of - 'VW made these buses to meet production figures with the parts available, not to satisfy nerds on the internet in 40 years time' I like that. :)
