Door lock difference

Hi all, whats the difference between early and late bay door locks?, need another and found a late bay one which looks the same but dont want to waste money if it doesn't fit right, cheers dean

Do you mean cab door locks?

If so then there is no difference.

Cab doors and sliding door, not got a key for the slider and want 1 key to open the 2 cab doors

Late bay sliding door handle has a separate lock.

The lock barrel and therefore key changes from L profile to R profile.
L up to chassis number 210 2300 000, R from 211 2000 001, in other words L up to end of July '70, R from start of August '70.

Just to summarise:

A late bay cab door lock and handle will fit an early bay even if the barrel is different.

A late bay sliding door lock and handle will not fit an early door as the lock and handle are seperate units; the early unit has the lock and handle combined.
