Has anyone had problems fitting heritage/jk door seals. Got new rubbers but they are far too big and are now making the doors not fit properly.

Any ideas?

Do they have pre-formed corners as the originals, as I found Jk ones didn't fit good, I lead to believe Status do good ones

I've just fitted some new JK cab door seals....

I found that if I started at the top and worked my way around they were fine. I used some Evo Stick as well and I got each one on pretty quick. I did have to cut about a one inch section out of each seal though as they seem a bit too long? Once they were on, I went around with a screw driver and gently pressed in any excess until the doors shut with ease.

I think their seals are ok, even the windscreen went in ok?

maybe I was just lucky with mine though?

i think they now stock genuine seals (would these be brazilian?), probably because of the stick they get from selling crap ones. Its strange the way a companies reputation can hang on one item. When i think of JK, i think of crap seals :? even though they sell alot of decent stuff too.

They are Brazilian indeed! After a 'hose test' there were no leaks, plus my bus is garaged anyway, so for me they were fine. Plus they're cheaper so that's more money for pies....and cake.

I havent used theyre cab seals but the slider seal I had off them on my old van was awful. Status VW for seals, everytime, imo.

If youre using them then they will 'bed in' and get better with time, so dont give up! :)

sorry for the hijack, back to the topic!

Status? had stress with JK seals myself  .Wots the web adress for status?

they are getting better each time i open & shut the doors. Just frustrating you spend hours finding expensive decent sa doors without rust that sit flush - then the seals push em out. Getting better though - apparently it takes 2-3wks

my van seems to have new seals, i say that as they dont seem to be made of the same rubber as guenuine VW ones, theya re really soft, and are braking up allready, as with most things go wit the best you can afford.

thats very true, cheap seals equal a false economy, you get more leaks more rust and drafts when your driving :(

spend a little more to save a little in the long run.
