Does anyone have the Dormobile coolbox? I was wondering,is there a proper way to keep the lid open when you are getting stuff out? Or do I have to make a support for it?

I think here should be a plastic strap attached to the pillar between the windows, then when you open the lid there should be a stud to press the strap onto. It is also the same for the sink lid ,unless the PO added these to mine.

our first bus was a dormobile, and yes, there should be a little plastic strip with a popper stud on it for attaching to the frame above the window.

they are the same straps used in westy conversions, should be easy enough to find. If you can't get hold of one let me know as I think I've got a couple spare in the garage somewhere.....

Cool I'll check it out, cheers people.I got the strap and popper for the sink lid intact still,I'll have to double check the coolbox lid now.

Mine hasn't either....in fact, it hasn't even got the hinges anymore.........so if anyone has a pair of those old fashioned hinges....you know where I am..... :?

My 1970 Dormobile doesn't have a holder for the cool box lid, there is a strap with popper stud for the lid over the sink! which is attached under the shielf.

If anyone has a strap for the sink lid let me know

There is no sign of anything ever being used to support it when open,I'll have to make a support.I find it awkward holding it up with one hand and fumbling for stuff with the other hand!
