I am starting to get the van (71 D4/6) ready for bodywork in the autumn. As it will be having a new ex USA rust free rear hatch fitted I am keen to match the grey paint to be in keeping with the original Dormobile spec (and rest of interior colour).
Having done a bit of research I have discovered that VW painted Kombi and Panel interiors L275 Light Beige. Where my interior is scratched through the grey, I can see this beige colour below and it seems to match the inside colour on my USA hatch.
What I am after is a pointer on what colour code to give to my paint shop for the grey. I am assuming that it was Dormobile who painted the interiors of the empty kombis / panels prior to fitting the interiors.
Any guidance gratefully received (to be repayed in beer at vanfest!!)
