Dormobile roof question

Can anyone help me with the gap to the roof from the roof cap on a dormobile roof?
I'm fitting one and it seems wrong.
I have the feeling that it needs trimming a little, & is too far down the gutters.
I have the rubbers for the edge but don't want to fit them until I get the roof cap fit right!
Any photos you have would be helpful ta!

That might be a doormobile poptop for a Land Rover:

Roof curvature is different. Mine follows the roof profile better. I'll see if I can get a pic later.

Thinking about it some more, perhaps they all need trimming to fit?

I think it's defo a vw roof tho, 2 sky lights & 2 glass windows.
I'm just not sure what it was fitted to before?
Maybe something with a rounder roofline?
