All of those look great! Anyone had any issues with the aftermarket chrome pulley/crank pulleys? I got some on my wish list, but curious how hard they are to change and if they are even worth it?

I want to get some ideas for my Early Bay. People ask what I want for Christmas....So I think I am going to ask them to each get me something to chrome the engine?

Might be telling you what you already know but be careful with chrome in the engine bay. A lot of the stuff is crap quality and without sounding too much like a pipe smoking buffer "VW painted things matt black for a reason"

Well chuffed with my scat crankshaft pulley, degree markings make timing easy.
Have heard there are some poor quality aftermarket alternator/dynamo pulleys about that crack/shatter. Would personally stick to a stock original vw one to play it safe.

Currently in my SC (More function over form)

And in my old GT (when I was nieve and didn't know any better!)

My first single port stock 1584 engine,

My 1775 single port engine, 2 years ago

The same short block but with steve tims Stage 1 heads and a pair of 40's Dellortos

Which died when the case broke on the moustache bar mounting bosses (completely slumped on the right side), the case has been welded and now is in a friend beetle.

And my new 2074 engine:

All are home made, for my 1971 DD panel.
