Hi All,
Just a quick question....

Will I be able to retain my 14inch wheels with drop spindles fitted or am I right in thinking that if I fitted 3.5inch lower spindles I would need 15inch wheels, whereas with 2.5inch drop spindles I could keep my 14s?

Thanks in advance...

My 2.5 wagenswest ds didn't allow my 14" stock wheels to fit

but

i didn't check if it was a wheel weight issue, from what i can remember i couldn't get the wheel to turn at all

I've got 2.5" Wagens West spindles with 14" NSU wheels and they're fine... Tho I think the adaptor may well bring the wheel clear of the lower ball joint. I'll have a look...

Thanks retro kid,
Let me know.

I might end up going down the route of adjusters on the beam instead to keep a bit of clearance to my 14s....

We had wagenswest 2.5 drops on our '70 with standard 14" wheels and they cleared the wheel, unless you hit a pothole... changed to 15" wheels (porsche 356 mangels) and have had no problems since. the 'bump' on the rim was minor but still didn't like it...
