So while everyone was spending there hard earned i was at work earning some
So what did i miss and what did you buy?

the freeze was a good day. met a few eb ers along the way. only came home with a madmatz cab&walk through mat, and loads of ideas which will drain the bank account!! oh and some indicator bulb holders off dubberdaz.

Picked up all my arranged deals on the day and got my new red 9 front sus kit. start fitting next week, watch the gallery on my van!

Lets us know how the red9 kit goes on mate ..

I picked mine up from Si on sat morn ... Mine is a few weeks away from fitting yet though!

Hilly

was a good day but considering they were supposed to be adding more isles, it felt like they removed a few and stretched it out, gsf didnt even show this yr and not one place had a set of piston rings :(, but got everything else though :)

I got a few good deals, and thought it was a good show, did any one spot the NOS Uk spec overriders for £180, nice but would look od on a US Spec van.

Managed to pick up a full set of 944 calipers
Zig6 unit
front indicator rubbers
and some paper ducting for the engine bay.

all in all a good day

although the raffle was a shambles.

Didnt buy anything but met a few fellow Ebers for the first time - Graham L, faux, Steve92, & others whos usernames I've already forgottten
Actually that reminds me, with haveacamper and I being stood at the bar for 20 minutes trying to work out how you spot an EB forumer that you've never met before - only to realise that you are stood almost right next to them  We need some sort of rogues gallery so I've created a new thread (couldnt find one from before???)

I didnt go, spent the weekend ill with dodgy sinuses  rubbish

met a couple of Earlybayers - manged to collect a dormobile buddy seat which I'm really pleased about.few other small bits n bobs. oh and a Gen VW window seal kit from status.

If it I didn't need anything, I still love Vilksy's so its worth a wander around the car park if nothing else! think positive VZi'ers!!

weather held off, although it did bounce down on the M6 at Keele & I lost a wiper - all good fun

I thought it was quiet at first, but then it filled right up and was rammed as per usual. There were a few empty spots which were maybe a sign of the economic downturn? The biggest difference for sure was the lack of fresh imported parts etc, Volksheavan had a nice fresh selection of panels etc, but elsewhere it was obvious that little hade come over during the winter ....
I sorted out everything* I need to get on with what I need to get on with, and some other stuff thats a nice find for me ..... even if I do have to return to the midlands this week to collect some of it!

On another forum I read the comment 'it was alright if you wanted parts, but not much else going on' ...... made me smile - its a swapmeet!!

As ever, for me, a great start to the 'season' and fab to be back in the swing of things. 8)

* thats a lie, Ill never get everything!

I had a good time. I travelled from newcastle in my bro's T4 and arrived at 6.30 after a 4hr trek as he had it in the for sale section. We got there just in time as it was rammed after 7am and the for sale section was already full.

As i had decided to keep the bay the night before :D :D i managed to get a lucas spot light, org volkswagen script for tailgate, rear light surrounds and a full length rack which i spent the rest of the day trying to work out how to get home.......its still currently in oxford so if anyone knows a cheap courier service ?

The new red 9 kits look awesome :p

Sorry i didn't get the chance to meet up with you, i did walk past the bar a few times but thought how do i walk up to randoms at the bar and say are you an early bayer ? Need to get our mug shots up for next time or all wear red roses :)

Had a great day out, met up with Graham, Ian, Daz, Si, Havacamper, Steve, Loxy, Minty, Clyde and a few others. Finally dropped off some overriders from Woodslat. i tried to avoid looking too hard at the shiny stuff as I am saving up for the summer.
