Hi there, thought it was about time i said hello.

this is Dudley, my 72 Crossover. He originally started life as a microbus out in Oregon, before getting imported last year. i picked him up just before Christmas, where he promptly broke down on me when we were about half way home with an ignition fault that couldn't be fixed at the side of the road. luckily for me, I've got breakdown cover (something i'm sure will get a lot more use in the future), so the tow truck was called & we finally made it back to the midlands.

first job is to sort out the ignition problem, as at the moment i'm having to hotwire to start him which ain't ideal. not had chance to do much on him since christmas as i've been working away. looking forward to getting stuck in now though.

thanks all,

there's a few jobs that need doing & he needs a bit of tarting up too.

Thinking of loosing the Westy interior though. The Mrs wants a full width bed & something a bit more modern on the inside.

it's a shame when you have to go & don't want to mate, i'll miss it myself when i leave, i've never known anything else. done 17 years most of it down at army maritime in southampton.

fair play mate, you've got a tough old job there. i don't think i could do it myself, p155ed up idiots would do my nut in. i know a couple of lads who've gotten out & are now in the same line of work as you. good on you all.
