early bay wanted, cash and cheap daily as px

Hi guys, been looking for a bay for a couple of weeks now. I know what im after but open to ideas. I would prefer one with elevating roof, and could sleep 4. I want one that has no underneath welding required for a few years, and pref no major bodywork. Not after show condition, made that mistake last one I restored, but something thats homely and usuable without fear of firing the cooker up and getting it dirty!!! A nice lived in camper Heat to the front screen a must, split electrics and 240 hook up a bonus,

Ive got some cash, and my daily I want to swap, ( also have this for sale for 800 ono so if i get rid ill obviously have more cash) but with the bays I have been seeing and liking, they are at other end of country, so my plan is to drive my daily there and come back with a van!!! Its got 6 months tax, MOT till sep i think, its a 960cc suzuki swift, w reg, 65k on clock, just had mini service, good condition, electric windows, alloys etc etc. cheap to run etc etc. few little niggles but very minor (ie not unlock from passengers side , windows slow at going back up, ) but by no means anything to mean owt.

anyone got owt??

I think you need to give people an idea of what overall budget you are working to as you are going to struggle to find an earlybay that sleeps 4 for less than £5k for instance,

well we have just done a 120 mile round journey, a bay looked beauts in the pictures, turns out to be a bag of spanners, 6k, doors hanging off, not a single window seal in tact, lol, back to looking, what a waste of time!!!

Are you set on a camper for 4?

could be worth looking into a bus with good sized awning and inner tents....

It will open the way to further busses in your price bracket then with time develope it into a full on camper. I know Scott is going to be converting busses and suspect that he will be offering a service cutting tintop rooves and fitting pop tops.

theres a local one to me, its had the dorm top taken off, and a paris rag fitted, could ir be easily put back o a dormy? where do u find dormy roofs??

thats why mines out your price range never welded except battery tray 80% original paint ratty but solid .you dont want one with fresh paint at that price it will be covering all sorts of nasties
