FOR SALE

1968 VW CAMPER VAN – TINTOP G reg

I have decided to put up for sale my early bay camper van which I have had for three years, during this time, I have collected all of the repair sections and panels to complete the bus so that it is solid and ready for spraying. It was my intention to convert the bus to run a TDi engine with Porsche running gear to be a motorway flyer, unfortunately I was going to complete this project with my father, but he sadly passed away and I don’t have the inclination or the time to finish.
I shall be selling all the spares with the van, these include
Brand new doors, and seal kits as brought from just kampers
Heritage replacement panels, including
Cab floor repair sections, inner, central and outer sills both sides, replacement sliding door runner, front wheel arches, front panels and associated parts required for early baywindow, outriggers front and rear where required, rear wheel arch repair panels and sections
1600 engine including alternator conversion, not complete, turns, but don’t know if it will run.
All the glass required,
Front door opening quarterlights
Numerous dashes
Replacement engine lid, replacement rear hatch
I am sure I have forgot some things also

I brought this bus cause it was an early bay and did not have any major rust issues, just the normal stuff, unfortunately early bays suffer with rot in the rear gutter and this one is no exception, I managed to purchase a rear roof section for the van, my intention was to replace this area of the van with the new section.

I do have more pics I can send on request but many too large for the generous free hosting.

Viewing of the van is possible but only on weekends, van is located in West Bromwich and I can be contacted on 07752717233

Hi Mate,

I have seen this advertised on Volkstorque forums, I am really interested in the van as it is exactly what I am after.

Two quick questions:

Would you be interested in a swap for a '71 Fasty currently without MOT and needs patching on the floorpan to get an MOT?

Also, why does it have a later Bay front panel, has it been replaced?

Many thanks.

Hi

sorry not interested in a swap at the moment.

It has a late bay front panel as someone welded it on and then proceeded to weld a plate over the air inlet, the panel has been fitted incorrectly anyhow, included in the sale is another late bay front panel, with all the parts to convert to an early bay front and the lower part of the panel, so you will end up with a front panel as good as new.

May be best to PM me on VT as I dont check on here frequently

Regards
