There is also a Northern Cruise, getting the ferry from Hull, the 2 cruises will be joining up over the water to cruise to the show on mass!

Soooo need to make it to this! Got to #3 and #4, absolutely brilliant. Major headache is getting Aaron out of school for the Friday and Monday, the school is being an arse. Get new year out of the way and start lobbying Mum to get her on our side. ;)
With missing Spa, have to get the boy to EBI.....

Ive booked my ticket, just need to find out if people leave on the Thursday or Friday.

:D

We've always gone Thursday evening, to get there Friday AM. Prime camping spots do get taken very early on though.

That might be a better call, I think they had just opened up another field when we arrived at lunchtime on the Friday .... after that it was pretty busy just trying to find a space somewhere

My plan is to get the train Tunnel using tesco vouchers late on Thursday. Drive to Dunkirk for a free nights camping then get up early on Friday and head to Chimay for late morning.

Sounds about right to me, thanks guys

On the DFDS (was Norfolk line) ferry, book as 'car < 1.85m x 4.5m'

On the chunnel train it should be 'campervan' but believe others have booked as a car and got away with it. I argued that the bus takes up no more space than the average car (unlike a Winnebago) but was advised that if there is a bed and storage, then it would have be classed as a campervan for tarriff purposes. Simply they charge by the catagory' rather than the fairer system of actual space required.

I always book as a car. I was questioned on it once but they weren't actually arsed. :)

Yes book as a car, on the tunnel this year to spa we went upstairs on the train anyway. Was so tight thought it was not gonna make it but loads of room.

Me too :)

Just the chunnel to sort now ... must get my timing sorted, may be Thursday evening/night now

Think we are going Thursday afternoon on the DFDS crossing as its cheaper, probably an early afternoon crossing so we can camp somewhere on the way to Chimay
