Engine bay seals

Quick question: I am just getting my engine back in the bus, (between thunderstorms) and I can't make out if the seals at the sides are supposed to sit over or under the the engine tinware, or even one flap over, and one under. Please can someone enlighten me, preferably before it chucks it down again?
