engine bay

Hi going to clean my engine bay out but want to know whats the best stuff to clean it with,and then what to paint it in hammerite ect,what have you lot done to make it a bit nicer....Rowan.

Engine degrease fluid did a good job on cleaning mine. Hmmm not sure about hammerite, can't you get some spray cans mixed up in your colour?

Never even thought of that lol guess i just cover engine best i can then spray away ??

Would be better to get the engine out mate. Or at least drop it down a bit and mask it off.
I sat inside the engine bay with the engine out and cleaned it, still a sh**y job! But was worth it.

I just went at mine with the degreaser, and elbow grease..... :?
When I'd finished it looked gnarly and didn't need any paint... :lol:

Get it clean first then decide on paint!

Used grey smoothrite on mine (after cleaning etc) and it has come out pretty well:
