Got the beam in bits and there is plenty of play in these Eurothane bushings, is this normal ? Also, what grease do these need? Some can eat away at the rubber can't it?

Urethane bushings absorb grease and swell , they then wear until they don't fit any more. Bearings are the proper job.

Not sure it's as simple as fitting bearings in when the beam is made from a straight tube. It's a wagens west beam, no recess or anything for any bearings
