Hi All, I just bought an exhaust and manifold for a very reasonable price, see pics below. The only problem is the mondo box dont fit my 1970 bay, the engine bar gets in the way, even with the adaptor that was made by the previous owner....
I think the previous owner had a 1972 crossover model, is this why the Mondo dont fit mine? The manifold fits perfectly though....... Will all this fit a late bay? If so, im gonna have to sell it on.
Thanks,
Philthy..

...i saw this on...ebay/vzi...somewhere :shock: .......thought the mod was odd.... :?

......just a random thought is it because the box should have a different/merged header?

Its not getting caught on the bumper. Its hitting the engine support bar, so i cant do the flange up.....

Which bit of the box hits the engine support bar? the rear corner on the tail pipe end ?
If so cut the inlet side pipe so that it will make the box lie under the bumper straighter - moving the rear corner further out from the engine support bar.
or get a different bend from turbo thomas (http://www.turbothomas.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;) & weld it to the box to make it sit further out from the bar.

header piccies on here............

.......think it would move the box backwards :?

Sure I read something recently about someone trimming their bar to fit something like this :?

....and ere it be http://www.volkszone.com/VZi/showthread.php?t=567942" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
