Just wondering if anyone has used exhaust wrap on their heat exchangers, to keep a bit more of the heat in?

I did it on mine, and I did notice a benefit in how warm the van was inside.

However, at the same time, I also swapped my repro heat exchanger for a genuine one (meaning I now have 2 genuine ones), so I can't say how much difference each action made. My van gets fairly warm fairly quickly, although I am wondering whether to add an extra blower near the front somewhere to get a better flow of air. :)

The disadvantage of wrapping the heat exchangers is that the wrap traps moisture and helps rapid corrosion.

What if you painted the HE with rustoleum, then wrapped them in heat wrap?

You could try as an experiment but there is a risk the wrapped tin surround would get too hot for the paint in summer.

Might give that a go sometime - once the weather gets a little warmer and not raining, and this is assuming we get a summer - this is the UK!

Cheers!
