Found a hole in my exhaust 1.6 tp engine.

Looking ast different options
1) Comp standard exhaust with new heat exchangers Bit pricey at the mo

2) standard with j tubes

3) non standard

What are peoples thoughts on this, what have you done to yours.

Looking at no3 because where i park the van, when i sqeeze between car and van, keep catchin me leg on the exhaust where it sticks out to the side. Lame excause i know :p

Heating is crap on the van, so thinking about j tubes.

Any help would be greatful.

Many help RD and Happy new year.

If your bus is a daily, sort the heating, you'll appreciate it ;)

I'd vote stock unless you have a big motor. If you are going to buy non stock, buy something decent made by someone who understands gas flow and performance (NOT a monza 4 tip like I have then  ) and preferably in stainless to make it last a while.

OG VW heat exchangers ought to make a significant difference in the heating compared to reproduction ones. I'm not sure which my bus has, but it heats the van to be at least a few degrees warmer than ambient in the very cold weather. I'm missing some of the heating bits atm too.
