There are two tube types that have two different ambient temperatures one is 75 degrees and one is 108 degrees - i.e. they go off at different temperatures.
The guy at Firetec said most type 2 owner go for the 75 degrees unless you have a high performance engine (Scooby or Porche I guess) in which case they go for the 108 degree ones.
My question is - how hot does an engine bay get at it's worst ?? I run a 1776 SSP motor, but I can't get my head around how hot it gets? I'm guessing less than 75, but I don't want it to trigger the exinguisher for no reason :?
Any advise appreciated
