Just checked this out and the cost is around £150 depending on extras, with delivery to individual business addresses.

JK do a single bottle set up for under £50, so a big potential initial saving. Anybody any experience of the JK system? Is it worth the saving?

you get what you pay for id go with the firetec system as is has a hose which you fastern around the top of the engine bay so if it does go off the whole engine is covered, were as the jk one is just a bottle with a nozzle a £100 pound is a small price compare to what the bus is worth to you

I had an engine fire 2 weeks after i got my bus it caused £4,000 worth of damage so on the face of it id say spend the £150 dude

Thanks guys, you have confirmed my instincts; I'd weep buckets if those pictures had my number plate on them. Reckon I'll post a cheque to Jen on TLB.

Cheers.

Have now ordered one with TLB.
Standard kit with the larger bottle .£140
Well worth the money.

that s what i went for don t want a repeat of last time  , it broke my heart 2 weeks of owning my first bus and it was sat on my drive burnt out, its not just the engine and bodywork that got done , i had to fit a new interior as the fire bridage filled the whole van with foam and water

beleive me firetec are the way to go £140 to save your bus or £4000 to put it right , its a no brainer

Seems unanimous that this is a good idea. 8)

Out of interest, has anybody any experience of a Firetec or any other similar system activating, either by accident or to douse a fire? What was the damage?
