Fitting an interior light

I have no idea. :shock:

Just bought a new one as ours was missing one. What are the 3 connectors for?? I guess the single spade on 1 side is earth? If so, what do I connect to the other 2? I've got a Haynes manual but can't find anything in there.




Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi Paul, have you looked on the samba? There's wiring diagrams on there under technical, should help you out.

One is ground or earth

The other is a permanent 12v

And the last is a switched 12v from the doors.

Crack out the multimeter!

Power goes to bulb. Switch goes to earth and to push button on door pillar. Switch selects between permanent earth, off and door button.

I think the standard light used the body as earth instead of a wire, one of the metal clips was used

Cheers all, was a bit cold in the garage yesterday, couldn't feel my fingers so have left it for 1 night this week. Did notice I don't have any door switches though so looks like it will just have to have a positive feed to it for now.
