Hi can anyone advise me on the fitting of a electric fuel pump? I have brought a cb performance rotary fuel pump where is best to fit it and how to wire it up also got a block off late for the mechanical one it has a breather hole in it do you connect a pipe to that and where do you attach the other end of the pipe to? Also when removing the mechanical pump do you also remove the pedistal and rod?
Thanks for any advice.

I use a Huco suction pump. Is yours a suction or push pump. If suction you mount in the engine bay, if push then you mount near the tank. You should put a filter before the pump inlet, the outlet to the carb. Wire to the positive of the coil but put an inertia cut off switch between in case of an accident. I removed my old pump and pedestal as they are no longer needed . If you leave in place then connect outlet to inlet, but ideally remove as there is no fuel to cool the friction build up.
