Long story this, but having replaced the exhaust, & 123 & had the carbs off and checked more than once the search to stop the annoying popping on my westy ended with the conclusion/advice that it must be the heat exchangers. So, search started & I found a pair of OE via Stateside for £175 quid delivered and last Friday Jason at Interpro swapped them over for me. And guess what?, yep the popping still continued so it looks like a swopped a good pair for another good pair without reason and haven't solved my problem either!
Mine always produced good heat, but as you can see from the photos although really solid there is a small hole in one of them and they need a bit of fettling. In summary they are OE but not NOS, produce good heat and have all the fins and weigh 2-2.5kg more than the danish ones.
Because of the weight I'd rather they were collected - home is Berkshire but I can get them to Oxford, Bristol, Basingstoke, Redditch & Manchester for nothing for you to collect.
So to recoup some of my outlay for the new pair and the labour cost to fit selling these at £135 for the pair.
I've attached a couple of photos but have more if you PM me with your email address
