volkspares sell the new ones aswell and there cheeper £932 inc postage +vat,

The GSF ones come with dizzy drive installed all the other don't according to M7 who tried to sell me their last one for 1200 and avoid mentioning that important fact!!! New dizzy drive £30 plus sundries £5 plus postage £35......

GSF could deliver free and I get 10% discount which made it £1030 with dizzy drive fitted.

I'll be calling Volkspares in a bit so thanks for the tip strongy.

Best of luck to you too dude lets hope one of us get our bus back out there this week!!!

Oh Boy where do I begin??????

Got my new engine today unwrapped it, blessed it and started fitting all my ancillaries in prep for fitting tomorrow.....

It ******' fitted with case savers in the 3 engine mounts that secure it to the rear support bar. I did read somewhere that this was the 'case' but managed to forget.

So dilema: do I try to find some bushes to take up the slack in the engine support bar or try to tap out the case savers and tap to the correct size??

What a nightmare!!!!

Strongy- what's yours like?? Have you the same prob?

so are your suport bar bolts to big for the thread thats in the engine?if so can you not just buy 3 new bolts?

i think my bolts for the bar were 2 x m10 and 1 x m8 ,not sure so dont quote me on it

Yeah basically the problem is that the old bolts were bigger and don't fit the new case coz of these case savers. I will have to buy some smaler bolts but the problem is that then they are too loose in the support bar.

I guess I'll have to use some sort of bushing / sleeve to make them snug.

So yours doesn't have case savers then?? Hmmm interesting!

My case says made in Brazil on it even though it was definetely build in Mexico. Whats your say??

il have a look in the morning, where did you get it from in the end?

im sure mine is stamet mex

mine dident have savers in that i can remember, what size bolts do you need to fit the case?

look at yell.com for a local fabricators its a 10 min job to make some sleeves for ya bar and will prob do it for beer money, saves messing with ya nice new shinney engine and wont afect the warantee
