French campsites

Thinking about this summer hols, love cornwall but a bit fed up with the weather (last 3 yrs have been crap ).

Thinking about going to france starting at Calais then down to Le Mans taking a few days to drive down there;
Have anybody got any recomdations for the way down.
When in Le Mans will be staying in a friends field at their chateau.

Looking at ferry costs poole/ Cherbourg OMG :shock:

Dover/ Calais under £80

Desperately hope your right but we've said that for the last 2 years.
Judging on last year, May saw the best weather.

yes we have had 2 bad years with the weather in cornwall
but before that we had some cracking weather lets hope its back this year

Not when ive been there
Hoping that im gonna be proved wrong this year.
Will be good to catch up with friends down there again.

Must add that i used to work in cornwall for a few days a week for 10 yrs the weather can change from coast to coast. Still love cornwall.

i think a lot of folk will be holidaying in the uk this year

due to the strong euro and the old credit crunch :?

Naaaa we tend to use small campsites, not into the big expensive ones. Joined the camping and caravan club, great small sites like St Ives bay rugby club, minimal facilities but great views £7 pn
Getting all excited now.
