Best place for a new front beam for a '72 X-Over.
Would like adjuster in already, but don't think I want narrowed though!!!!

Plus, would rather not spend £450, but will if you reckon that is the best option

(Still not getting emails!!!!!!!!!!!!)

buy the adjusters take them and your currrent beam to a good welder, it will cost alot less than 450

Theres a guy based in Boston Lincs sells on ebay and hes registered on here too but name slips me for now....

PM eastcoastslammer for details if memory serves his prices were quite good and can supply as you wish....

Bought my front beam from Classy Campers in Weston Super Mare. Just so happens it was an early beam.

Cost about £220.

A decent s'h rust free beam as £200 ish and adjusters are around £100, add £50 to cover welding and incidentals and thats your lot. I guess if you are getting somewhere to fit as well, then you'll be looking around the £450+ mark pretty quickly.

i bought my bare beam off here for £120 posted, got adjusters for £100, then it was shotblasted and powdercoated for £50.

total £370

swapped the leaves out of my old one into the new one and whacked it back on last week.

Haveacamper - looks like a good job done there.

I have been quoted £195 cash for one and will then have to get the rest done.
I know I can get ones already done for £300 and upwards which may save me a
lot of grief!!!

Will have a think and see what I do

Cheers for all your replies

did you fit adjusters to the slippers as well as the beam
