Hi all!
I have searched the forum before and saw a few bits and bobs about this subject but thought I’d ask anyway incase there is fresh insight.
So the problem I have is that the drivers door is around 4mm too far back, foiling both the B pillar and the front of the arch as it curves around.
The door needs a little work, I’m hoping the skin is in good condition so I can just do the classic bottom repairs as it currently sits quite well in terms of the curvature and lines.
I’ve read before that a good hammering on the hinges, possibly a slice on the back side and re-weld is the way to go.
The arch itself hasn’t been welded in yet, just looking for the best fit before I start fiddling with it.
Has anyone been through this and can offer some tips/advice so I don’t totally cock it up?
Cheers!
