Great thread! I have this selfsame problem to tackle soon. I think I am leaning towards kickpanels because 1) I am replacing my doors soon because they are a tad... porous ;) and 2) I don't like the idea of them rattling when people slam my doors (just because my sliders need a lot of welly doesn't mean my cab doors do too :x )

But I do have another question to add: where are you lot hiding your amps?

Mine is currently under my 2/3 front seat but am thinking of mounting it behind the drivers seat so that the dials are a bit more accessible if needed. Only thing holding me back is air circulation and the amp getting hot (heated seat? :D)

Yeah if you want to hide them away you typically have to look at fan cooling them. Also depends on which amp you have. These days you can get amps that are a third the size of a standard amp / same power... give you a lot more options of where to fit them.

Mine is under the back seat/rock n roll bed 8) i have a 1200w mounted onto a wooden base plate 8)

I really need a capacitor to keep the power flow of the bass nice and smooth 8)

Yeah a CAP is a good idea if you are running the stock alternator...otherwise might have a few issues with head lamps dimming!

Up for a thread from the dead

Just wondering where/how those running separate tweeters mounted them on the dash? Also with the front kick panel mounting, did you use the standard kick panel card, or use thin custom 5mm ply kick panels?
