Ok so was out for a drive yesterday only for about an hour and the temp guage was reading around 210 F is this ok? I feel if i was going for longer it would def go up to the 220 f mark. Im running stock 1600sp.

Also got a small fuel leak, seems to be coming out of the carb from the shalft. I'll try and get some pictures up. It's strange doesn't do it all the time just every now and then when i stop have a quick look and the odd drip will come of....any idea's?

Im full of questions

Any idea's on the leak, can you get a carb re-build kit? or could it be time for a new carb?

210 to 220f ok running temp.

Petrol leak could be a worn spindle, think you can get new bushes for these.

just my humble opinion, and off topic i know, but i would consider moving that fuel filter away from the preheat pipe. they get pretty hot! alot of people put them above the gearbox.

Is it defiantly fuel and not condensation from carb icing?

Yer 100% petrol, i've order the bush of a guy on ebay so gonna take the carb out this weekend and have a go at fixing it.

Any do's or dont's?

Ok i've got the bush's now, going to do that this saturday. Any tips from people? This will be the biggest mechanical work i've done on the bus. :? I've also ordered a carb rebuild kit from Karmann connections. Is this a good thing to do changing all the seals etc. Got to have it up and running again really the same day.

Cheers guys
